Job Posting - Sales Executive
Urban Mixer is seeking a Sales Executive for a full-time, commission-based position.
Over and above traditional advertising sales, the successful candidate will have aptitude for, and experience in:
- Acquiring corporate participation in events;
- Organizing and utilizing the information about Urban Mixer’s exisiting audience as individuals and as a group;
- Increasing meaningful 1-on-1 contact with current clientele;
- Encouraging existing client loyalty;
- Finding new opportunities by understanding the wider market;
The successful candidate will have a proven professional track record in the field of sales, including:
- Customer Relationship Management;
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and close;
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships;
- Demonstrated successful track record in sales;
- Superior English oral and written communication skills;
- High level of energy and self-motivation
- Minimum of 7 years experience in an outbound sales role;
- Post secondary education or equivalent;
- Proficiency in software skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM tools.
In addition, the successful candidate will:
- Be focused on outcomes;
- Be positive, motivated and creative;
- Work successfully within an overall company strategic plan;
- Be comfortable with, and able to employ new technologies and innovative techniques (digital, web-based, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr, etc.) in pursuit of sales goals;
- Excel as part of a tight-knit team.

Geez Andrew, what are you sayin’? Waiterblog doesn’t have the same unlimited earning potential that Urban Mixer does?
We’re now in Seattle now and almost at that ‘tipping point.’
How’s things on your part?
haven’t you been posting this position for a long time? haven’t you found someone for this yet? all commission based? what are the chances that anyone would want to do that???!
Yup, we’ve had this posted for a while, at the same time, I’m not about to take the first person who walks through the door. We’re in no hurry to hire - and I can wait to the right person indefinitely.
And thanks for clarifying re: commission, the position is built to suit the candidate’s needs and expertise.
