Michael Kors Store Opening
On Tuesday the 25th, the Michael Kors Lifestyle Boutique opened their doors at Oakridge Centre on 41st and Cambie.
The event, which was catered by Elixir Restaurant at the OPUS Hotel (their catering division), had attendees including figure skater Emmanuel Sandhu, socialites Carmen Ruiz y Laza and Constantine J. Anastasopoulos, Michael and Shanni Eckford, Jason Hadkin and Jessica Margaret from Iconic Artist Agency as well as David Goldman from Boys’ Co. pass through the doors to congratulate Michael Kors’ Canadian President, Debra Margles, who came in straight from Montreal to enjoy the evening.

MICHAEL KORS (Canada), Inc. TO OPEN LIFESTYLE STORES AT OAKRIDGE MALL, VANCOUVER AND ROCKLAND CENTER, MONTREAL
MONTREAL, March 5th, 2007– Michael Kors (Canada), Inc., announces the opening of the company’s first freestanding stores in Canada at Oakridge Mall in Vancouver, B.C. and Rockland Center in Montreal, September 2007. The latest additions to the growing Michael Kors brand, the 11th and 12th stores to be opened in North America, the stores will offer a full range of accessories from all of the collections, Michael Kors, KORS Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors, with a selection of ready-to-wear pieces from MICHAEL Michael Kors. Fragrance, eyewear and other licensed product categories will also be featured. The Oakridge Mall and Rockland Center openings comes on the heels of other lifestyle store openings in the US including The Westchester Mall, NY, Town Center at Boca, Florida and NorthPark Center, Dallas. The Oakridge and Rockland stores, like the preceding stores, were designed by New York based Michael Neumann Architecture.
John Idol, Chief Executive Officer of Michael Kors (USA), Inc. noted “We have had great success with our existing U.S stores and we are proud to open our first store’s in Canada in Vancouver and Montreal. Retail is obviously an important component for our overall growth strategy, and we intend to increase the number of free standing stores in key global markets over the next few years. Oakridge Mall and Rockland Center, is another step in realizing this goal”.
Future lifestyle store openings planned for 2007 are Houston Galleria, Texas, The Grove, Los Angeles and Aventura, Florida.
