On Thursday, October 25th, Urban Mixer got the inside scoop on the new Canadian Club bottles, styled with themes relating to the days of the Prohibition, hitting the shelves in liquor stores right now.

The media-only dinner, featured a tasting and education with Canadian Club, Canadian Club Reserve and Canadian Classic 12, which turned out to be completely different recipes altogether rather than different ages of the same blended Whiskey (sic).

The limited edition Prohibition-styled bottles contain factual information about the brand including references to the term ‘The Real McCoy’, The Valentines Day Massacre of 1929, the U.S. attempt at embargoing the more popular and higher quality Canadian Whiskey in the 1890’s (sounds like softwood lumber), and Al Capone’s secret codes.

With a Prohibition-Themed Media Dinner

Each bottle celebrates Canadian Club’s historical links to Prohibition, bootlegging, the Real McCoy and the legendary Al Capone.

Dinner – An intimate three-course dinner will be served.

Casino – Media are invited to retire to a private casino room after the dinner to try their luck at the tables with Walkerville Money provided to them at the event.
