RozeMerie Cuevas (left), the constantly stylish designer of the Jacqueline Conoir label showcased her take on fall fashions and as a major supporter of Vancouver fashion was seen watching most of the shows at BC Fashion Week. www.jcstudio.ca

By far the hottest dance floor and the best DJs in the city, M Bank on Main Street opened their doors on Saturday night to host a spring party.
Saturday night, we stopped by Lickerish to check out ‘Sexy Stilettos and Boys That Like Them.’
With an invite this compelling, we just had to go:
“Celebrate Marissa’s Assets (intellectual of course) By Showing off your Own..Short Skirts, Heels and Cleavage (When don’t we!?)” -Caroline
For Girls and Boys that like Girls….All dressed up so we can love and admire each other through our Martini induced haze. An opportunity to indulge in good conversation and practice the art of flirting.
(Oh and secondary to all that- because Marissa is leaving…..again…)
Terms and Conditions:
- Heels- boots, stilettos, wedges- whatever your fancy just ensure its bigger than 2 inches. Men are exempt from this condition just be sure to come loaded with compliments and womanly admiration
- Break out your dress-up trunk and be sure to gussy yourself up in Cocktail Attire (i.e. suits for men and dresses for women).
- Please be responsible and leave your car keys at home if your indulging in Martini’s or any other alcoholic substance..a great excuse to feel famous and hire a driver

- Feel free to bring whomever so long as they adhere to the aforementioned rules.
- One may experience difficulties strutting the stripper walk after 4 martini’s…(or in Caroline’s case two)
On Saturday night, DJ Reminisce, one of the most popular DJs on the Indo dance, fusion and Bhangra scenes, celebrated 20 years in the business at MySala Indian Bistro on Granville. The $200-a-head soirée, hosted by Virsar Media, packed the room with friends, fans and supporters.
Friday night, OPUS Bar hosted a special event, ‘Hot Stepping! The Warm-up’ which was dubbed as the fashionista schmooze, models avec bottles. The highlight of the night was supposed to be K-Os taking the turntables but the opening DJ, Q-Pid stole the show and the hearts of everyone in the room.
With Q-Pid’s charisma, mad DJ skills and a Chinese fighter helmet, he was certainly someone to catch.
As for K-Os? He mostly kept his head down and didn’t give so much as interact or acknowledge anyone in the crowd. To that, we say fuck K-Os.

On Thursday, March 27th, Urban Mixer members, along with thousands of restaurant goers enjoyed diner at their favorite place and raised funds for the fight against AIDS.
Over 200 restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and up The Fraser Valley joined the effort by donating 25 percent of their food revenue from meals sold to Friends for Life and A Loving Spoonful during this important event.
For this evening, Urban Mixer picked PINKYS Steakhouse & Cocktail Lounge in Yaletown as the place to mingle, meet and eat and PINKYS reservation list was stacked solid for the whole night.
DJ Yovan, Montreal’s No.1 House Music DJ rocked the dancefloor at Bar None on Sunday, March 23rd with an four-hour set. Props to Naz and Priscilla for bringing him back. Check out DJ Yovan online, HERE.
On Sunday, March 23rd, Nima Behnoud, designer and creator of the Nimany fashion line, made an appearance at the after-hours club, GORG-O-MISH, for an afternoon trunk sale.
