Deuce Restaurant, located on Lonsdale Avenue and 16th in North Vancouver, celebrated their first anniversary on Thursday, July 31st.

Isabella Egan Gallery on Abbott Street hosted the opening of a photographic exhibition by one of Vancouver’s hottest photographers, Jordan Junck, on Wednesday, July 30th.
Junck’s exhibition, titled ‘Submerged’ featured a number of models, observed and photographed below water.

Players Chophouse on Beatty Street at the steps of BC Place celebrated their first anniversary on Wednesday night.
With plenty of good company, some of BC’s best-known athletes, libations and chophouse-style roast beef sandwiches, this was one unforgettable event.

On Wednesday, July 30th, MCL Motor Cars launched the 2009 Aston Martin DBS at their new dealership located at 1820 Burrard Street just off West 2nd.
The line of ultra-luxury automobiles, with the $300,000 Aston Martin DBS as the flagship – vehicle of choice for James Bond, was recently sold off by Ford Motor Company, into joint British and Kuwaiti ownership.

OPUS Bar hosted the finale of the Van Gogh Live Art Series on Thursday, July 24th.
The event, dubbed as Live Art Creation + Liquid Art Consumption, had two local artists, Scott Sueme and Colin Moore collaborate live on their respective canvases, while DJ Rachel Sehl played funk and old school, and Van Gogh rep Vanessa Queyranne poured samples of the Singapore Sunflower featuring Van Gogh Gin.

Clack Clack Empire held an opening for a LOLcat art show featuring the works of Seattle-based Marianne Goldin on Monday.
The clothing and effects store that carries small, rad labels, and doubles as a Gallery, is located in Shanghai Alley just steps away from the gates of Chinatown. Erin M. Edwards, the Boss Lady, owns the store, Vincent Parker curates.

Musician, promoter, and now visual artist, Curtis Santiago, is currently exhibiting his works at Grace Gallery, Main Street at 3rd.

The Vancouver Lookout, one of the highest points in BC, opens their doors to the public on a monthly basis for an artist’s reception at “The Armstrong Gallery & Exhibition Centre.”
On Thursday, July 17th, the featured artist, North Vancouver’s Doris MacDougall, presented her ‘Garden Fragments’ exhibition – live painted flowers and other scenes from her garden which are drawn throughout the year.
