5th Annual Passions Bigger & Better

Vancouver, BC… The Dr. Peter Centre in Vancouver’s West End was abuzz Sunday night as over 250 people attended Passions.  The gala, which has been an annual fundraiser for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation since 2004, raised a remarkable $116,000. This brings the grand total of funds raised for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation through Passions to $300,000.

Says Leah Kruk, Development Manager for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, “It was an extraordinary evening filled with fantastic food, great fun and wonderful people. We are thrilled by the support we received from the community, helping to make this a record breaking year.”

The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation is a non-profit organization specializing in health care services and programs for people with HIV/AIDS. Today, Dr. Peter’s vision and compassion continue to drive the work done at the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation and the Dr. Peter Centre. The only program of its kind in Canada, the Centre provides care and support to improve the overall health of people most in need.  Removing obstacles that traditional health care does not necessarily recognize as such, the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation provides a place of acceptance and respect, restoring hope and dignity.
