On Monday, May 11th, a select group of local media joined local chef Murray Bancroft and UK-based Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador Merlin Griffiths to learn about entertaining at home.

Set on the 58th floor of the newly-built 62-floor Shangri-La Vancouver, the promise of food, free booze and superb mixology aside, attendees were excited to join the chef, the brand ambassador and various minions high above the clouds to discover the magic that is Bombay Sapphire. On Thursday, March 5th, the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation hosted their annual fundraiser on the sixth floor of the newly-minted Shangri-La.

Masters of Ceremonies Gloria Macarenko and Ian Hanomansing of CBC news mingled with notables, Adrienne Bakker, Belle Puri, Peter Legge, Kay Legge and others while the foundation raised a whopping $200,000 which will go towards the $1.6 million Urgent Needs Campaign.

Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation was established in 1978 to raise funds for the Hospital’s first CT Scanner. Today, the RCH Foundation raises millions of dollars each year to fund urgently needed life-saving and diagnostic equipment for RCH.
