When we got the message from MCL Motors stating that the newly-released convertible version of Aston Martin’s ultimate luxury DBS sports car was in town for a two-day driving event, we simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
Introducing the 2010 Aston Martin DBS Volante
The DBS Volante packs a 510 horsepower 6 litre V12 engine, has a top speed of 307 km/h, can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds and is convertible – in other words, not to shabby. Priced at between $300,000 and $350,000 a pop, we can only speculate that a few people in town would be sufficiently privileged to ever even drive one. Unless, of course, your name happens to be James Bond.
Thankfully for us, we did get a chance to take an outing with the dream vehicle, but not without some serious supervision by Morrisport Advanced Driving’s own Tony Morris Jr. Read more after the jump. (more…)
