On Saturday, May 8th, Jay Leno appeared as the celebrity guest for the 5th Annual Brian Jessel BMW Cabriolet Gala which was held at the Brian Jessel BMW Showroom on Boundary Road.

Over 1200 people attended, all whom enjoyed the free-flowing drinks and food, silent and live auction and the main headliner, Jay Leno.

In his coup-d’etat, Jay Leno who was to auction off a single tour of his garage and four tickets to the tonight show,  started the bidding at $2000 and granted the sale to everyone who raised their paddle, raising over $80,000 in less than a minute.

Overall, $225,000 was raised for the three charities, Canucks Autism Network, Arts Umbrella and VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation, making a very successful evening for Brian Jessel.

MS: To call the One Series the Baby Beemers of the BMW family is a little misleading.  It erroneously evokes the idea that these cars are harmless little things, when in fact they are anything but child’s play.

RT: Well that’s what I thought when I first looked at the 1-Series, it was like geez, a car that I’d probably buy for my teenage kid, but not something credible for day to day use. Since I’ve driven one, my whole perspective has changed. (more…)

Brian Jessel BMW Cabriolet

On Friday, May 8th, Brian Jessel BMW hosted one of Vancouver’s biggest fashion events of the year — the 4th Annual Cabriolet Charity Fashion Gala. The eventful evening featured mingling with Brian Jessels’ diverse clientele, food from some of Vancouver’s best-known restaurants, a silent auction with items to die for, plenty to sip on and high fashion from Hugo Boss and Harry Rosen.

The evening started off with Karen Holness and her jazz band, creating an exciting, upbeat buzz for the party as guests filtered in the doors.

Vancouver’s Socialites mingled, enjoying delicious west coast appetizers, martinis from two alluring bars, beer by Whistler Brewing Company and selected wine.

Hundreds of items from local sponsors were displayed for the silent auction, and guests contributed to this cause in support of BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation: Gynecological Program and The Prostate Centre at VGH.
