Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009On Saturday, July 18th, Variety – the Children’s Charity hosted the Summer Concert Series Vol. 1, Pop Culture Exclusive at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond.
Danny Fernandes, Jake White, Emmalyn Estrada, Di’Ja and Elise Estrada all took the stage and performed to live fashion by Bedo, Parasuco, The Penniless Fashionista and Jolie Couture. Over 450 people attended including Vancouver’s own Faber Drive and Dog the Bounty Hunter, and all proceeds from the event benefitted Variety – the Children’s Charity.
The event’s itinerary also included a VIP-only reception with the performers, a silent and live auction with one-of-a-kind items and an after party in the Resort’s Whistler Ballroom.

HOW (MUCH): $100 for General Admission, $150 for VIP Tickets
Featuring Elise Estrada and Danny Fernandes, this exclusive experience will be a dazzling display of music and fashion.
The event will showcase two of today’s hottest, MMVA nominated pop acts along with the fresh faced talent of Di’ja, Jake White and Emmalyn Estrada.
You will also be treated to a fashion show of the season’s hottest styles from Bedo, Jolie Couture and Alicia Ebbels.
Don’t miss out, as this event will prove to be one of the most exciting charity fundraisers of the season, with a live auction showcasing fabulous, one-of-a-kind items and experiences.
VIP tickets are $150, and guests are invited to a red carpet meet and greet at 6:00pm, where complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Green TaRa at Ironwood Stage

It’s a good thing, Green TaRA’s childhood dream of becoming an obstetrician did not pan out, as she went on to become an enchanting musician. Instead of delivering babies to the masses, this talented and socially conscious artist, delivers soul-moving jazz, funk and R&B tunes that reach the listener at a prolific level. Her latest album is called Global Baby and features such Motown numbers as Revolution Time and Reggae-inspired tracks as Controller. Green TaRA was recently at the Ironwood Stage & Grill in Inglewood.
