On Friday night, media personality Jennifer Thomson from Radio 1410 took control of the Oyster Bar at Joe Fortes between 5 and 7:30pm to raise funds for charity.

For every Oyster shucked by Jennifer, one dollar was donated to her charity of choice, Joints in Motion. To find out more about joints in motion, check out their website HERE. Jennifer Thomson can be heard as part of the Jenn and Joe Show on Radio 1410 weekday mornings between 6am and 10am.

On Wednesday, November 7th, Joe Fortes hosted the fifth annual ‘Slurp & Swirl - A Wine & Oyster Celebration’ which benefited the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association Burn Fund. Attendees sipped on champagne and bubbly from around the world, bid on fantastic silent auction items, and enjoyed the Western Canadian Oyster Championships.
