On June 17th, attendees of the BC Lions Waterboys Breakfast were treated to a sneak-peek of the new Empire Stadium where the Lions will play all at-home games during the 2010 season while renovations are occurring at BC Place.
On the morning of Sunday, June 14th, Rick Hansen hosted the Wheels in Motion event at the PNE fairgrounds to help improve the lives of people with spinal cord injury (SCI).
Attendees enjoyed wheelchair-bound teamsports while listening to music by the Monkeybar Band and munching on burgers prepared by City Councillor Raymond Louie, MLA Shane Simpson and Urban Mixer’s own Raj Taneja. The Natural Champion sauces for the burgers were provided by Rockin’ Ronnie Shewchuk and the event was hosted and emceed by Chris Carter of ScotiaMcLeod and Chris Gailus of Global TV.
Those who donated a minimum of $20 for the barbeque also received a Playland pass for the day.
