Going back to its original roots, the venue formerly known as “Sequioia Grill,” payed tribute to its rich history, celebrated 30 years of existence and delighted loyal patrons by reverting back to it’s original namesake, “The Teahouse.”

The local favourite that is nestled on the edge of Stanley Park is known for its friendly service and West Coast cuisine. To celebrate the name change and re-launch of the venue, regulars were invited to enter a contest by sharing their “Tales of the Teahouse” for a chance to win the grand prize a trip to Montreal.
On Thursday, May 14th, the Teahouse hosted a launch party celebrating its recent name change. The evening kicked off with Dawn Chubai, singing live jazz on the patio. Guests were greeted by staff serving wine as they walked in and enjoyed appetizers made by Executive Chef, Carol Chow. While the sun set, guests mingled and shared their favourite memories at the Teahouse from engagement proposals to wedding ceremonies.
The evening wrapped up with the unveiling of the new Teahouse sign upfront that marked the official re-launch.
